Paro Arrival – Transfer to Thimphu
Our guide will receive you at the Paro International airport and drive to Thimphu. The road journey from Paro to Thimphu offers beautiful landscapes and interesting sights along the way.
Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge:
- En route to Thimphu, stop at Tamchog Lhakhang Bridge.
- Explore the traditional iron bridge and the small temple.
Memorial Chorten:
- upon arrival to Thimphu visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa dedicated to the third king of Bhutan.
- Observe locals as they circumambulate the chorten, turning prayer wheels and offering prayers.
Motithang Takin Preserve:
- Explore the Motithang Takin Preserve, home to the unique national animal of Bhutan, the takin.
- Learn about the folklore and biology of this intriguing creature.
Craft Bazaar:
- Explore the Craft Bazaar in Thimphu.
- Shop for Bhutanese handicrafts, textiles, and souvenirs.
Evening visit Tashichho Dzong:
- Visit Tashichho Dzong, a fortress and monastery that serves as the seat of the government.
- Check the schedule for the traditional flag lowering ceremony.

Giant Buddha Statue (Kuensel Phodrang):
- Start your day by Visiting the Giant Buddha Statue overlooking Thimphu.
- Enjoy the panoramic views of the city and surrounding mountains.
National Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts School):
- This institute preserves and promotes Bhutan’s 13 traditional arts and crafts. Visitors can observe students learning painting, sculpture, woodwork, and more.

Hike Tiger Nest Monastery
The Tiger’s Nest hike is one of the most iconic and popular activities for visitors to Bhutan. Paro Taktsang, or Tiger’s Nest, is a sacred monastery perched on a cliffside in the Paro Valley.
Morning: Hike to Tiger’s Nest
